The Hebrew verse at the top of the circle contains the words with which parents bless their daughters every week: "May God bless you as Sarah, Rebeccah, Leah and Rachel." The Hebrew verse on the bottom is from the Book of Ruth "Blessed are you to God." The four matriarchs are represented by four roses, which ar symbols of the the Shechinah, the female presence of God.
